The Virtues of Surah Al-Mulk and How to Memorize It
Surah Al-Mulk opens by declaring Allah's complete dominion and that He created death and life as a test.
Evidence and guidance
Surah Al-Mulk opens by declaring Allah's complete dominion and that He created death and life as a test. Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2891 reports that a surah of thirty verses interceded for a man until he was forgiven and identifies it as Surah Al-Mulk. Al-Tirmidhi called the hadith hasan.
How to apply it
State that grading honestly. Memorize the surah in short passages and revise yesterday's passage before adding today's. Do not confidently attribute every popular claim about nightly protection or the grave to the Prophet ﷺ unless the exact narration and grading have been checked.
